A Year of Visphort

I now have 50 subs on youtube

Woah! This site's been up for a year now. How time flies. Seriously, time's been just slipping by after I came of age.

So far, well, it hasn't been a total waste of time. It's because of this that I released two (sort of half-baked) games, put some amount of effort into a Youtube channel and got to know the ins and outs of the Godot engine pretty well. Plus, I got something to make me release something regularly. 50 subs on a Youtube channel, eh? Just by uploading what I want to upload? Doesn't sound too bad compared to having zero.

I don't wan't to give this up, and I hope to stay true to that in the future. I will not give this up.

So far the October deadline looks... preeety tight, considering the pace i'm working on that project. Which might as well be zero.

To be fully clear, I am putting effort into stuff, just not this. Remember when I said the stuff about closing off or cutting off other priorities? Yeah, I'm still working on that, and some of them include resume building. Though this isn't any excuse for slacking off on the Visphort projects. I really do hate that I'm not able to do anything on this side, but these are also on a strict deadline too, something which I can't really afford to lose even more than the Visphort stuff.

I know that I'm not some sort of hotshot developer or whatever. Success, whenever it comes and in whatever form it is in, is going to take time for me. Maybe I'm managing my time and resources wrong or something else. I love what I do for Visphort and what I do for my other resume-building projects as well, and for now my focus lies on the latter, unfortunately.

Eh, enough of the melodrama. Eugh, I really should put out more technical stuff and not this whiny bullshit. Well, Hopefully I'll have something out on Youtube by the end of this August. Let me iterate some of the highlights of the past year:

  • The first animation video (the Youtube channel trailer thing),
  • The Godot 3 FFmpeg screen recorder,
  • libopenmpt-godot,
  • Stretcherdrll,
  • The Blender Animation,
  • A few more music video things, and
  • Super (Hider) Man.

All in all, the output was alright. Not good as i hoped it would be, but alright.

Well, that's about it. See you in the future!
